Empowering Independence for People with Disabilities

We work toward empowerment, dignity, and respect for people living with disabilities in Southwestern Montana. We connect people to community resources. Our approach puts the person at the center with the ABILITY to choose and navigate their own goals, and our team provides guidance along the way. We create a partnership with each individual that offers an ongoing relationship of support and self-advocacy.

The result: people with disabilities empower themselves to achieve self-directed, independent lives.

Peer Program

We assist individuals who are adapting to life with a disability or transitioning through different life stages through peer support programs.

Self Advocacy

Ability Montana seeks to make a difference in our communities and the lives of individuals by removing barriers to accessibility. We hold a space for all to speak about issues that matter to our community. Ability Montana welcomes your perspective. Join us in creating change.

Self-Direct

The Self-Direct Program allows aging members of the community or individuals with a disability to hire and manage attendants that they choose and gain greater control over their own lives.

Meet Our Team

These people work hard to support individuals in the community living with disabilities.

Each of our team members are leaders in our communities, assuring disability rights for all Montanans by actively encouraging and effecting community inclusion, integration, and independence for people living with disabilities.

Programs

As a Center for Independent Living (CIL), we offer a range of programs built around the five core pillars of independent living. From workshops to peer mentoring to independent living skills training, our programs are designed to help individuals living with disabilities thrive.
