Assistive Technology

An umbrella term that includes assistive, adaptive and rehabilitative devices for people with disabilities. Assistive technology promotes greater independence by enabling people to perform tasks that they were formerly unable to accomplish, or had great difficulty accomplishing, by providing enhancements to, or changing methods of interacting with, the technology needed to accomplish such tasks.

    Usually pronounced as [ask-e], this term for character encoding is based on the English alphabet. ASCII codes represent text in computers, communications equipment, including assistive technology (AT) such as screen readers and telephone relay service (TRS) equipment.
  • Glossary: Case Management Advisory Group [CMAG]
    Case Management Advisory Group: this group is compromised of Case Manager Supervisors (state and contracted), Case Managers (state and contracted) from across the state, as well as a  representative from the DDP Central Office.  The group meets at least once each quarter and reviews current policies, procedures, etc. and makes recommendations to the DDP Central Office.
