Personal Care Assistant [PCA]

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) is the individual, hired by a Consumer through Ability Montana, to deliver personal assistance services. Personal assistant services vary depending on the needs of each consumer. They involve direct assistance with activities of daily living and/or hygiene (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, meal prep, assistance with medications, etc).

    A PCA’s timesheet that details hours worked and tasks performed. The SDR is completed for 2-week time period.
  • Glossary: State Plan
    Also referred to as Medicaid Personal Assistance Services. The State Plan is a list of tasks that have been approved for Medicaid reimbursement that PCA’s may do for Consumers. Each consumer’s State Plan is developed on an individual basis by MPQH and is then referred to as the “profile”.
