Accessing effective and accurate information is the primary means of promoting consumer empowerment. There is no question that knowledge is power. The more people know, the better off they are, and the more effective they can be in making decisions and managing their own lives. Knowledge supports an individual’s capacity for self‑determination and can help consumers gain the needed skills to act on their own behalf. At Ability Montana, we want to ensure that all individuals have access to effective and up-to-date resources to meet their needs and increase independence.

Access and inclusion are processes. Nonprofits and government agencies provide services that help these processes become life assets. We have organizations in our communities, state, and nation that are aimed at helping people live independent lives with inclusion and support.
