Ability Montana has several opportunities available for Montanans with Disabilities to recreate in the ways they want. Third-party grants are available for Americans with Disabilities to take part in the activities they desire, whether it is mono-skiing down the side of a mountain or quietly taking in a book at home.

CAMP BULLWHEEL
Adaptive Fly Fishing in Montana
At its core, independent living simply means having equal access to the same opportunities as the rest of society. In Montana, that means having equal access to the natural outdoor playground and other recreational opportunities the state has to offer. Ability Montana is expanding their program offerings to include a rich robust outdoor recreation program which will enrich the lives of those served and help develop a sense of belonging within their communities.
Camp Bullwheel’s facilities will be used for one day and multi-day gatherings of people with disabilities, their friends, families, and Ability Montana staff to participate in fishing adventures, outdoor educational retreats, and visiting nearby attractions.
Camp Bullwheel’s accessible rafts, boats, and other fishing equipment will be used for flyfishing and floating experiences on the Madison River and other rivers in southwest Montana. Ability Montana will engage the services of professional outfitters and guides to provide angling and on the water expertise.
