Good Access is
Good Business

The Good Access is Good Business project was started by the Butte Disability Action Network to highlight businesses that are making real improvements in accessibility. What began in one community has grown into a statewide effort, with active committees in Butte, Helena, and Bozeman. Led by people with disabilities, these networks meet regularly to review nominations and recognize businesses that are creating more inclusive, ADA-compliant spaces.

2025 Legislative Scorecard

Ability Montana 2025 Legislative Scorecard cover, featuring a blue background, organization logo, and a summary about their mission to empower and advocate for people with disabilities in southwest Montana.

How Montana Lawmakers Voted on Disability Issues This Year

Legislation in Montana directly shapes the lives of people with disabilities—impacting access to healthcare, housing, transportation, employment, and community inclusion. The bills passed, and the policies that follow, can either expand opportunities for independence or create new barriers.

That’s why Ability Montana has created the 2025 Legislative Scorecard.

This scorecard tracks how legislators voted on the key disability-related bills we followed throughout the session, many of which we discussed on our Disability Voices podcast. Unlike other organizations’ scorecards, ours highlights the issues most critical to the disability community—issues like Medicaid expansion, accessible voting, behavioral health services, and protections for service animals.

By putting this information in one place, the scorecard:

  1. Makes the legislative process more transparent
  2. Shows which lawmakers supported or opposed disability priorities
  3. Empowers you to hold legislators accountable and make informed choices in future elections

We invite you to review the 2025 Legislative Scorecard and see how your representatives voted.

Together, we can keep building a Montana where every person with a disability has the freedom and support to live independently in the community they love.
